Athens Wellness Clinic is proud to partner with the Arch Policy Institute (API) at UGA to offer a new Telehealth Internship for Summer 2025. This initiative reflects our mission to improve the health and well-being of our patients by reducing barriers to care and strengthening the digital literacy skills that support healthcare access.
Interns will take on one of two non-clinical roles:
· Patient Interns will work directly with patients to guide them through using the patient portal, scheduling appointments, and accessing medication refills—building confidence in digital tools that support health.
· Clinic Interns will assist staff and providers in optimizing virtual care through tech support, digital record management, and improving telehealth workflows.
This partnership offers UGA students a transformational opportunity to serve within a free clinic setting—an experience that fosters empathy, equity-focused thinking, and a deeper understanding of the realities many marginalized individuals face.
