Yeimi: Overcoming Obstacles to Good Health
A year and a half ago, Yeimi Hernandez sought help at Athens Wellness Clinic for Type II diabetes. With the help of a highly-skilled AWC Spanish language interpreter to overcome language barriers to accessible healthcare, Yeimi worked with AWC’s team of providers to both treat and manage her blood sugar levels using a combination of prescription medication and lifestyle changes. Thanks to Yeimi’s persistence and dedication in fighting this debilitating disease, she has made significant improvements and her healthy lifestyle changes have given her a renewed sense of optimism and a more positive outlook on life.
